In our unique accommodation, the Duin Onder, you'll experience and learn how the animals live and sleep within our dune area. Think of the fox, rabbit, weasel and ermine, which make their cozy homes in holes in the ground. A dive under the dunes is great with kids!
Play a fun game together inside or enjoy the beautiful surrounding nature and birds singing outside. This special accommodation is covered with soil and grass, which makes it nice and cool in summer time but warm and snug when autumn comes. Spend the night in this unique cottage with a maximum of four persons, and make your holiday a unforgettable experience.
The Duin Onder offers four beds of which one double bed and a bunk bed with a low ceiling. There's a toilet and shower and a fully equipped kitchen to make sure your stay is special and comfortable.
Discovery tour
During an extraordinary stay inside the Duin Onder, you're close to the vibrant central square. The cozy accommodation has its own beautiful garden with a private and fenced play area for kids. Outside the kids get crazy with the mud kitchen or gaze into the insect hotel which really is interesting. Go on an adventure together and find animals or creepy bugs which live on and around the campsite. Inside the tiny house lies a backsack with everything you and your child need for a discovery tour within nature.

Sustainable Plastic Huis
The extraordinary Plastic Huis is a comfortable, luxurious accommodation and quite unique. It is the first holiday home in Europe which is almost entirely made out of stray plastic. These ocean plastics were gathered on the beach of Castricum. How local! And the best part? You really don't notice this at all. A stay within this house of plastic guarantees comfort and let's you completely unwind.
Reused materials inside and outside Luxurious comfort
Indoors also a lot of sustainable materials were being used. Nice to know: The kitchen cabinets are made of reused wood and covered with foil of recycled PET bottles as are the cutting boards. The dining chairs and side table consist of ocean bound plastics, the unique beds are made of Dutch reused cardboard and 100% suited for recycling. The sofa is covered with leather scraps and the curtains were plastic bottles in a previous life!
No matter how much plastics are used for the cabin, it doesn't feel or seems plastic at all! Inside is charming, luxurious and fully equipped with a large kitchen and modern bathroom. Outdoors offers everything for a nice stay with a porch and picnic table. How about the (extra) outside shower? Rinse yourself after a day of hiking or sunbathing at the beach.
Did you know your dog is welcome here? Bring your loyal friend with you on your vacation. Behind the accommodation is a direct route into the nature reserve.

The reception with its shop full of sustainable items, our amazing natural playgrounds, restaurant Knoest with its live music evenings, the artisan minimarket with fresh bread and local products, it's the starting point of many activities en offers a lot of facilities. All of which is being surrounded by the stunning greenery of our nature reserve!
